Committee on Examinations and Standings (EX&S)

Office of Academic Advising (OAA)

Meeting with an academic advisor can be useful if you need personal academic advice or help for any reason, including difficulties in a course or if you are reconsidering your major or overall course plans. Student Success Initiatives (SSI)

Center for Career Development

The Center for Career Development utilizes interactive learning techniques to equip students with knowledge and skills that will continue to serve them well in any professional environment. Office of Study Abroad (OSA)

Rice Study Abroad strives to provide substantial, transformational experiences within each undergraduate’s personal curriculum through intellectually rigorous and culturally enriching international opportunities. Rice Study Abroad is committed to providing high quality academic-based educational programs in collaboration with prestigious international universities and select program providers. Rice-approved programs are distinguished by their academic focus contributing to the curricular needs of Rice University as well as integration with host communities through intensive language instruction, field studies, professional internships, and research opportunities. Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE)

The Center for Teaching Excellence fosters outstanding teaching through evidence-based practices, strong community building, and research in pedagogical sciences. The CTE hosts a variety of programs that promote effective and inclusive teaching methods, share fundamental principles of course design, facilitate pedagogy research, and support innovative teaching initiatives. Center for Civic Leadership (CCL)

The Center for Civic Leadership promotes a culture of civic engagement across the Rice academic community through research, service, and leadership. Office of Student Media

Rice University Bands

Student Center and Student Activities

The Student Center is comprised of the Rice Memorial Center and the Ley Student Center. This building is a hub of daily activity, student-run businesses, and resources that support campus life, including facility and equipment reservations. Student Activities at Rice houses resources for the more than 300 clubs and organizations, while providing networking opportunities, leadership development and skill-based programming, while also supporting event risk management.
